     WONDERFUL NEWS!

WE ARE NOW HOLDING OUR USUAL SERVICES IN CHURCH AGAIN

' Praise the Lord O my soul and forget not all his benefits.' Psalm 103

    Dear all

It is wonderful to be back in our beautiful church again - we have indeed much to rejoice about. We have now held live services on several Sundays and it has been brilliant to worship together again, to see people in person and catch up on news. Of course, it has felt strange to be seated socially distanced in alternate pews with sanitised hands and frustrating not to be able to sing yet in church. However, it has been perfectly ok and we are getting used to it. We have 2 very good organists and we now have a data projector to project the words of the service attractively when it is not possible to use service books.  It has been great to be able to broadcast the service outside and around 15 people each Sunday have been seated in chairs outside in the sunshine to worship, thus enabling some of the vulnerable members of our community to be able to attend.

We are also putting an audio copy of the 10.30am service on our website in the early afternoon on Sunday.

We have started up Sunday school too, outside which has worked well as the rain has held off. Sunday school continued throughout the summer this year and I am delighted that Liz Boland our young people's minister is going to be able to give us more time in the coming year.

The church will remain open everyday from 9.30am - 4.30pm for private prayer. There are prayer resources for you to use and then take away with you. There is so much to thank God for and so much to pray for as schools and businesses begin to open up while so many people are still suffering in different ways. I do hope many of you will want to set aside time in the days ahead to pray.

So please pray. Remember TEASPOON PRAYERS: T for THANKS, S for SORRY and P for PLEASE. We have so much to give thanks for.

'Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all his benefits'

    With prayers and best wishes

    Ann

Safeguarding - As a Church we have adopted the House of Bishops ‘Promoting a Safer Church’ policy and the Parish Safeguarding Handbook, incorporating the House of Bishop’s Safeguarding Policy and Practice Guidance. Our PCC has formally adopted this and signed the Safeguarding Policy Statement Promoting a Safer Church.  Details of our Parish Safeguarding Officer can be found in the ‘Contact Us’ section on the website. We have also displayed the Promoting a Safer Church poster prominently within our Church. All those working with children and adults at risk have undergone safer recruitment, received safeguarding training and support.
